The Quad takes its name from the full quartet of Entwistle RTS3 Astrosonic pickups neatly lined up along the middle of the pickguard. This setup alone delivers a breathtaking range of bell-like single-coil sounds, which can not only be dialled in to support classic surf, but alt-rock, new-wave, and anything else you'd care to shake this sonic stick at. Combined with the set of four individual on/off pickup switches, you're getting no-less-than fifteen possible pickup configurations, and when you add on the ATN Variator switching system, you have a mind-melting seventy-five sound profiles to scroll through.
