PAC510V: the versatility of the P-Rails pickup

Even though it may seem as if the Pacifica 510V only has one pickup, it actually has three. This is thanks to the ingenious concept of the P-Rails pickup by Seymour Duncan, which is actually a separate P90 soapbar with a single-coil rail pickup next to it. On its own, the single coil delivers a clean, bright sound, while the P-90 offers more warmth and a nice bite. Together, they function as a full-fledged humbucker with a big, wicked sound and extra output. You can choose between the three sounds with the 3-way pickup switch. Furthermore, you'll find a volume knob and a tone knob for filtering the high frequencies.

Tuning stability and user-friendliness

The Yamaha Pacifica 510V is equipped with six Grover locking tuners, which ensure that the strings automatically clamp while tuning so you won't fall out of tune while playing. They also make it easier and faster to change your strings. The bridge of the PAC 510V is a hard steel tremolo from the famous Wilkinson brand, and is incredibly stable, supple and delivers outstanding intonation. Thanks to the self-lubricating Graphtech TusQ XL nut, you can go from subtle vibrato to deep swoops and still stay in tune.
