Weighing in at just 2.5 kg, the black Yamaha RGXA2 is almost thirty percent lighter than the average guitar, making it one of the lightest guitars on the market! You'll barely feel the RGXA2 hanging from your guitar strap, and with no more barriers between what's in your head and what comes out of the amp you're free to fully concentrate on your guitar playing, But does that mean the sound is light too? No way. This instrument produces a spacious, open sound that resonates through the entire body, giving it the perfect combination of comfort and good performance.

The RGXA2: a breath of fresh air

Despite its light weight, the RGXA2 actually has a solid body design. A light wooden core was compressed between two hardwood layers to form what Yamaha calls the AIR body, which actually stands for Alternative Internal Resonance. To add to the interesting design of the guitar, three metal tubes are mounted beneath the bridge plate that reach to the back of the guitar, and because the bridge makes contact with the back, the sound travels even better throughout the body to produce an extra big dose of rich resonance. The two Alnico V humbucker pickups contribute to the full, warm vintage sound of this electric guitar.

A minimalist design

To keep the high-quality bridge as lightweight as the body, the screws that normally protrude from the body have been left out altogether, giving your right hand more freedom and the RGXA2 an attractive, stylish look. To add to the streamlined appearance, the neck has been left free of position markers and the body only has two sparsely placed knobs, consisting of a volume knob and a graphic pickup selector knob for switching between pickups. Tasteful LEDs indicate which pickup you have selected.
