Boston DIY guitar kits
Boston's DIY kits contain all the parts you'll need to build a complete instrument, and you won't have to saw, drill or mill the body - though some models do allow you to shape the headstock yourself. There are many different kits available - from traditional ST, T and singlecut guitars, to V's and Arch Tops, to left-handed or 12-string guitars. Bij een kit mag je verwachten dat alle geleverde delen op elkaar passen. Bij deze was dat helaas niet het geval.
De voorgeboorde schroefgaten kwamen niet overeen met de uitsparingen voor onderdelen & overlapten zelfs bij de uitsparing voor de jack connector.
Zonder handleiding geleverd (zoals beschreven) maar van een online te vinden versie word je niet wijzer qua bedrading, deze mag je zelf uitvogelen evenals welke pickup waar hoort.
Het is zeker aan te raden om de hals & body eerst te schuren voor je er verf op aanbrengt, deze zijn onregelmatig & hebben anders vele lagen lak nodig om glad te worden.
Deze kit kan ik alleen aanraden als je kennis hebt van elektronica en als je bereid bent zelf een nieuwe body te maken.
Al-met-al een kit van lage kwaliteit.
