The Gibson ES Supreme: Big Aesthetics, Big Sound

Following up the Supreme edition Les Paul and SG models, this take on the ES comes topped with a deluxe slice of AAA maple, which combines with the three-ply poplar and maple body to take the tone of this semi-hollow electric guitar to another level. Even the Super Split Block position markers lining the ebony fretboard are made from inlaid mother-of-pearl, while every bit of hardware has been gold plated for that extra touch of class. One for the true Gibson devotees, the headstock has even been adorned with an Art Deco inspired inlay design drawn from the 1940s Gibson archives.

Fast and comfortable playability is immediately supported by the familiar feel of the Rounded profile of the mahogany neck. The 24.75 inch scale length is another Gibson standard - and for good reason - since it assures you of a lighter the string tension to ease the load on the frethand. The fretboard has also been given a compound radius, granting a rounder and more snug grip closer to the headstock and a flatter and more nimble feel closer to the body, making string-bends feel near-effortless. Loaded up with a Burstbucker Rhythm Pro at the neck and Burstbucker Lead Pro at the bridge, the amplified sound of the ES Supreme is masterfully balanced, thick and defined, but as soon as you pop out the push/pull volume pots and engage the integrated coil-tap circuit, you can thin everything out for some single-coil sparkle.
