The considered design of the Ibanez AS93BC-BK semi-hollow electric guitar boasts the sweet, vintage output of two Super 58 Passive Alnico dual-coils supported by a basswood top and bocote body. Featuring some retro elegance as well as throwback sound, this stunner of a model has been given a two-tone paint-job, where the top has been dipped in a coat of black lacquer while the back and sides have been sealed in a transparent high-gloss, putting the deep brown wood on full display. While the medium-output pickups deliver authentic tone, the use of bocote supports resonant basses and the basswood balances everything out with prominent mid-range projection. To ensure solid tuning stability and intonation as well as a faster restringing process, Ibanez have finished off this double-cut six-string with a Gibraltar Performer bridge and Quick Change III tailpiece.
