While the Ibanez JSM10EM John Scofield Signature has the vintage voicing of two Super 58 humbucking pickups, it also comes with a few modern perks. The warm and sweet amplified tone of this semi-hollow electric guitar can be varied via the fitted tri-tone switch, which can be toggled to stack the pickups in parallel, in series or to engage the coil-tap function. Meanwhile, the Gibraltar Performer bridge ensures rich sustain, stable tuning, and even the improved comfort of low-profile saddles. The Quik Change III tailpiece is another more modern feature, specifically designed to help speed up the restringing process and, to give everything a deep, airy, defined and natural foundation tone, the body has been hewn from basswood before being topped with flamed maple and the neck has been finished with a walnut fretboard to round it all off.
