Art & Lutherie Legacy Natural EQ                        Electro-Acoustic Guitar

I bought this as B stock item for £270. I will review in light of current price at Bax of £350. This is a Made in China model designed in Canada. Please see t'internet for all the specs. Firstly I love this guitar, which I bought for playing live so my Taylor doesn't get more bashed up. The playability is absolutely spot on, low action and no fret buzz anywhere. The sound is clear as a bell and for want of a better phrase slightly woody. The nearest comprison I would make is the Martin 000-X2E which is about £700. The A&L is on par, the Martin's build quality is better, The A&L plays better. They sound equally as good unplugged and I think have the same Fishman electronics. The only negatives,if you care about these things (I don't) are that the soundboard wood has some blemishes in the grain and there is a little glue squeeze out on some joints. The binding is finished perfectly and all joints and bracing are solid. The guitar might be a bit light for some but it feels great with a smaller body than I'm used to. I've hardly put it down since I got it. Strumming chords or single notes sound great and have an even sound. You dont get as much differential in volume with harder/ softer picking as you would with a larger bodied guitar. The vintage style open tuners look super cool and this is a good looking guitar overall. Tuning is uber stable. In Summary- it plays great, sounds great,looks good and stays in tune. It seems a total bargain to me. I have tried a number of 000/ 00/ 0M size guitars in the £200-£700 and I'm gad I bought this one.
