Luxurious features of the Fender CD-160SE
The CD-160SE is a dreadnought from Fender's Classic Design series. It features a mahogany body with a solid spruce top for a warm tone with sparkling trebles. The mahogany neck is equipped with a 20-fret rosewood fretboard and 3mm position markers. The red tortoise pickguard, mother-of-pearl rosette and mother-of-pearl Fender logo on the headstock all contribute to the CD-160SE's luxurious feel. A beautiful wooden strip with mosaic pattern on the back completes the picture.
Graphtech saddles and Fishman electronics
The string nut and bridge saddle of the Fender CD-160SE were made of Graphtech NuBone, which has a better tone than cheap plastic and produces clear trebles and open basses. The electronics of this 12-string guitar consist of a piezo pickup and Fishman preamp. The Fishman Presys features a volume control, 3-band equalizer and a Phase knob to counter unwanted feedback on stage. Finally, the guitar's practical built-in tuner helps you to keep it in excellent tuning.

Ik was al jaren verlekkerd op een 12 snarige gitaar en deze keer stonden er een paar bij Bax Shop Goes die ik heb uitgeprobeerd. De keuze viel uiteindelijk op deze Fender omwille van :
- de bespeelbaarheid
- de neck viel goed in mijn hand
- afstelling was goed
- de warme klank
- het ingebouwde Fishman element met preamp en tuner
meteen ook een bijpassende koffer gekocht. Tot op heden al heel wat speel plezier aan gehad.
