Recording King RPS-7-E-BRB Electro-Acoustic Guitar
evidenza
Descrizione
The Recording King RPS-7-E has travelled back to the 1930s and came back equipped with a special gold foil soundhole pickup so you can conjure any and all vintage sounds from the '30s using a modern guitar. Constructed using a spruce top and a whitewood back and sides, the compact parlour-style resonance chamber of the RPS-7-E shapes a characteristically bright sound. A little smaller than average, it's perfect for players with smaller hands and makes for a great travel guitar. This Dirty '30s Series guitar has been finished in Vintage Burst and sports a sleek ivory binding to match.

Exactly what you expect for the price. This little parlour guitar is rough around the edges, but it has a charming, punchy sound, and sounds great for slide. Needs a little setup when it arrives.

Firstly, I thought Bax's service was good - I ordered the guitar on Saturday night and received it on Monday. The instrument was securely packaged. The guitar itself seems well made - the only slight criticism (and I mean slight) is that there is a small amount of bleed of the paint on the back of the neck onto the fret board. This is only noticeable when viewed critically from close up. It sounds great played acoustically, especially on old-timey sort of music and is easy to play. Four days after receiving it I submitted an acoustic finger-picked blues onto an internet forum and received many compliments about the guitar. I haven't played much through the amp yet, but in both modes it sounds nice and bright. There's a bit of whistle on the strings, which I may change - but I don't want to lose the old-timey chime. I like the neck but it's not ideal for slides - there seems to be a bit of friction - nothing major. The guitar is very light and I like the parlour size - it's convenient for taking to other places to play. Overall - I think it's a great guitar - it sounds good, is easy to play and looks so cool! I haven't tried it with a slide, yet.
