Since the top of Takamine GD51CE-NAT is made of solid spruce, excellent resonance and quick response is no problem for this dreadnought. While similar models usually have mahogany back and sides, Takamine have in this case opted for black walnut; a tonewood that not only looks beautiful but frames a large, forceful foundation sound. Thank to a modern 12-inch fretboard radius and a slim neck profile, playing comfort is fully taken care of as well.
