The compact parlor body of the Fazley W120 ColourTune has been finished with an elegant cutaway so that every fret of the blackwood fingerboard can be reached. Unusual for a model at this price, this acoustic guitar has been finished with a solid sitka spruce soundboard, ensuring a refined resonance that's naturally amplified and finished with a sparkling edge by the maple back and sides. This slim and snug feeling guitar is a great learning buddy for beginners and a capable writing tool for more seasoned guitarists.
The W120 ColourTune: The Best First Step
Besides finishing this model with a solid top, Fazley have refined this guitar with some attentive details that are usually hard to come by in an instrument at this price. Open gear machine heads are fitted to the headstock and combine with the bone string nut to ensure pure intonation and excellent tuning stability. This guitar also comes pre-stringed with a set of D’Addario EXP16 Coated Phosphor Bronze strings (.012 - .053); renowned for their long lifespan and balanced, natural tone. And, since it's essential to have a learning tool or writing companion that looks as good as it plays, this model has been coated in a high-gloss finish.

Na de fantastische hulp bij de keuze van onze eerste gitaar door goede informatie over en voorspel op diverse gitaren, zijn we uitgekomen op de Fazley W120-CPNT akoestische gitaar. De klank vinden wij erg mooi en de prijs is voor een beginnersgitaar goed. De iets kleinere gitaar zorgt ervoor dat de oudste kinderen en wij als volwassenen goed kunnen oefenen. Het is fijn dat er een tas bijzit, zodat we de gitaar ook veilig mee kunnen nemen.
Met goed oefenen en de vingersetting aanpassen krijgen ook wij regelmatig de mooie klanken uit de gitaar. ;). Daarvoor hebben we verschillende methodeboeken aangekocht (eentje die met de hoogste e-snaar begint, eentje met de centrale toon 'C' en eentje met de 'G'-snaar). Allemaal met CD of video en audiobegeleiding (via internet). Zo kun je eerst goed oefenen en als bonus samen met de muziek spelen, of als het oefenen niet werkt eerst luisteren wat je gaat doen en dan oefenen.
De service van het Bax music team heeft me fantastisch geholpen in het kiezen van een eerste eigen gitaar. Niet alleen word je als klant geïnformeerd over het instrument, maar wordt dit ook onderbouwd met theorie, kennis en ervaring. De akoestische gitaar klinkt zeer mooi en zorgt voor de glans op je gitaarspel, deze glans zit ook letterlijk op de gitaar ;). Daarnaast is ze iets kleiner dan een basic akoestische gitaar wat het met een riem zeer leuk maakt om op te spelen.

Overall:this is the nicest sounding acoustic guitar I have ever played.The playability is excellent.The price was ludicrously low.
Set up:the action was perfect out of the box.I have become used to having to adjust truss rods and lowering bridge saddles.What a refreshing change to just have to tune up the strings and play.The strings supplied were excellent quality and have required minimal re-tuning as they bed in.The tuning gears are smooth and accurate.
Sound Quality:the natural reverb is better than my Yamaha costing 10x more.The bass mid and treble are all there with superb sustain.It can be strummed picked and plucked and always sounds great.
Use:this will be my go to guitar for acoustic recording (I record under the name of Bazza the Bat).For live performances the electro acoustic version may be a better choice so I will be getting one of those too.
Finish:personally I like the high gloss finish and have not been aware of any stickiness on the neck when playing.The black binding is well executed and gives the lemon colouring of the solid spruce top a pleasant contrast.The neck joint at the twelfth fret is neat and the cutaway allows for playing further up the neck.
