Guild M-120 Natural Westerly Steel-String Acoustic Guitar with Gig Bag
Descrizione
Compared to Guild's dreadnought models, the concert-shaped M-120 Natural has a brighter and tighter sound which, thanks a solid mahogany body and top, has remained rich and full. This way, you're getting the best of both worlds from a compact guitar with a prominently warm sound and a satisfyingly playable, flat 16-inch fretboard radius.
The Guild M-120: Chords? Yes! Fingerpicking? Yes!
To give you the chance to enjoy the feel of a high-gloss lacquered C-neck and a characteristic 1.75-inch string nut, Guild took the opportunity to re-introduce a number of guitars with various classic specifications to their Westerly Collection. As a result, this steel-string concert model lends itself to both chord strumming and fingerpicking styles, comes in a timeless Natural finish and elegantly features a pearloid sound hole rosette and position markers.
The Guild Westerly Collection
Guild have been building high-quality instruments since 1953, and their acoustic guitars hark back to earlier, vintage models. Each of the steel-string guitars in the Westerly series have been built using solid woods before being equipped with a number of refined and more luxurious details. The headstock of every model is then adorned with the traditional pearloid inlay Guild emblem and the top is finished with a faux-tortoiseshell pickguard. The Westerly series offers expensive acoustic sound at a surprisingly affordable price, and each guitar comes with a form-fitting Guild Polyfoam case.

I've had this guitar about 9 months now, having purchased it initially as a travel guitar.
I didn't bond with it immediately, it took my ears some time to adjust to the mahogany vs my usual cedar/rosewood.
There were a couple of issues out the box, the action was high towards the sound hole, and the strings were grabbing at the nut - resulting in some tuning issues (and some good twanging noises). Both resolved with a setup.
I tried a few different sets of strings and I have to say that the martin monel nickel strings absolutely shine on this. With the setup and strings it's actually a really enjoyable guitar to play and I'm starting to enjoy the tone more too.
