S6 Original: Construction and Sound

The solid cedar top produces a warmer, deeper sound than spruce and is complemented beautifully by the Canadian wild cherry back and sides that add the sweetness of mahogany and the sparkle of maple to the overall tone. The neck is made of Canadian maple with a rosewood fretboard that has 21 frets. The neck also has a hand-finished satin gloss lacquer for optimal playing comfort. Stable tuning is assured too, thanks to the distinctive narrow headstock that guides the strings through the nut at just the right angle.
