Pushing the boundaries of physics, Phil Jones Bass drop the BG-75 Double Four: an ultra-compact combo featuring a newly designed driver, innovative digital amp-technology and a fat range of classic PJB-grade sounds. The housing harbours two custom, carefully-calibrated 4-inch Neo Power speakers that can not only handle the extreme signals coming from a plugged-in bass, but boast a built-in PWM amplifier with pulse width modulation. As a result the PJB Double Four is more efficient in terms of power consumption and performance than traditional solid-state amplifiers, making it an extremely reliable practice amp.
The BG-75 Double Four: Smart Design
It's clear that PJB have spent a lot of effort into ironing out the details in the design of the BG-75 Double 4. Helping to make the most of the compact build, the Rectangular Auxiliary Low Frequency Radiators (RALFR®) found around the back of both speakers boost the 30 to 150 Hertz frequencies, while the internal reinforcements and acoustic damping materials used to flesh out the interior guarantee a bass sound that's easy to tweak, maintains tonal tightness, and never gets muddy.

Ik ben positief verrast door deze kleine geweldenaar. Superlicht, lekker klein, en toch komt er enorm veel geluid uit deze schoenendoos.
Ik speel met twee blazers, gitarist, toetsenist en een drummer die van lekker hard slaan houdt, en het volume is dan nog meer dan voldoende. Snappen doe ik het niet, maar mijn grote basversterker blijft nu vaker thuis.
Ideaal voor kleine optredens. En voor grote. Onze geluidsman kan prima overweg met het line out signaal. De double four is dan een monitor voor mijn eigen geluid.
Audio afspelen over de aux input gaat prima, maar verwacht dan niet het brede geluid dat sommige bluetoothspeakers wel hebben. Klinkt een beetje ielig, maar als repeteerhulp is dat meer dan genoeg.
Op het basgeluid heb ik niks aan te merken. Het laag klinkt vol, en puntig hoog bij slappen. Ik speel op een 5-snaar en ook de lage B komt er prima uit. Ook gebruik ik de double four met een elekrische contrabas en dat gaat ook perfect.
Kortom: zeer blij met deze aankoop. Had ik veel eerder moeten doen.
