Topped off with a Cab Rig output for both live and studio performances, the St. James 50 by Blackstar is a surprisingly lightweight and flexible, 50-Watt valve combo that refuses to make any compromises when it comes to sound. This stylish, 2x12-configured guitar amp features a power reduction switch so you can drop the output down to just 2 Watts for at-home rehearsals, or use the special third setting to give your playing an extra ‘saggy’ feel. Not only that, this particular model comes armed with two EL34 power amp valves so you can generate classic British crunch, pull out American-style cleans or alternate between the two using the included footswitch.
The St. James 50 212 Combo: Famed Vintage Sounds and Looks Mixed With Modern Perks
Thanks to the built-in reactive load, the vintage sound of the St. James 50 EL34 can be sent out via the stereo line output, the XLR output or the USB port without any fuss. Add that to the three authentic DSP-simulated speaker sounds of the Cab Rig output and what you get is an amazingly potent combo you can set up in the studio or on stage, whether it's combined with a matching 8 or 16-Ohm cabinet or not. Headphones can of course be plugged in for silent practice, and your favourite stompboxes can be hooked up to the integrated mono effects loop.

Bought this amp to replace my fender deluxe for playing gigs. A 2 by 12 fender clean that is lighter than a deluxe and sounds epic. I still have the deluxe but this does the gigs.
