The Bass Plate BP-20 is a dock for bass drum pedals that not only raises your bass drum, it optimises the sound too. One of the advantages of using a bass plate riser is the fact that your pedal isn't fixed to the hoop of the bass drum. This means you can adjust the sound without changing the 'action' of the pedal. When the beater is positioned in the middle of you bass drum, you get more attack, but if you move it off-centre, you can get more tone.

The BP-20 is suitable for bass drums with a diameter of 20 inches and works with single or double bass drum pedals. Installing it is simple enough, but takes a little time. You need to loosen the bottom two tension rods, remove the lugs and place the bass plate in between. The video tab contains a video showing you exactly how to fit the plate.
