Brilliantly capable of what it's supposed to do, the Velvet Compressor from Ashdown smoothly balances out the dynamics and compresses the entire frequency range of your bass into a great-sounding whole. While attack and decay come fully pre-optimised, at the simple push of the Compact button, multiple variables including gain, ratio and threshold can be brought to perfect harmony.

The Ashdown Velvet Compressor

It's recommended to set up the Velvet Compressor in such a way that it alters the volume when the device is switched on or off. This can be done using the input and output controls. Based on 3-band LED indicators, a virtual assistant lets you know when you've dialled in the optimal settings, after which you can adjust the output. Then, the time has come to work on the compression settings by pressing the Compact button. By maintaining the same volume via the input, none of the dynamics of your bass will ever go lost again.
