Following up on the neo-legend that was the first edition released by Death by Audio back in 2002, the upgraded Total Sonic Annihilation 2 takes your sound to as-yet uncharted realms. This pedal is no simple feedbacker. For a start, it even features an effects loop, so you can link through a bunch of your other stompboxes and layer the input effect over itself, again and again, resulting in a controlled feedback loop - think fuzz over fuzz, delay over delay or modulation over modulation.

The big, fat control pot mounted at the top of the control panel dials in the feedback amount. Push it to the right, and things immediately get heavy, but if you want things to get even wilder, simply push up the input volume of the active boost (which is toggled on and off via a dedicated mini-switch) via the Gain pot and, to tweak the boost volume, simply twist open the Limit pot, all before countering a dull or shrill sound by flipping the Phase switch. Basically, this stompbox is like a compact tone-based chemistry set for your guitar sound. Hook it up and experiment as much as you dare.
