With the UAFX 1176 Studio Compressor, Universal Audio has managed to recreate the sound of the legendary albums that first dropped back in the seventies. Basically, vintage-style compression has somehow been packed inside a single stompbox. The 1176, just like the original, comes kitted out with a Single, Dual and Sustain compressor mode that can be flipped into parallel mode at will and even comes backed up by a switchable true/buffered bypass. First introduced in the seventies, the original 1176 was considered the master of compression and helped voice countless classic albums. Here, that same sound has been faithfully recreated, redesigned to fit inside an effect pedal, and planted with a clean and intuitive set of controls to complete an unmissable pedalboard tool.
