While the gauges for specific string sets are usually consistent across manufacturers, the materials and construction often varies, as does the string tension. In order to offer a set with the same tension per string, D'Addario offers the Balanced Tension series. The EXL115BT is a 011 set from that series and is suited for electric guitar. The individual string gauges have been adjusted to according to the other strings in the set so that each string has the same amount of tension, meaning that you can enjoy maximum playing comfort.
Characteristics of the D'Addario EXL Strings
The D'Addario EXL115BT Balanced Tension string set is manufactured in the USA. The strings are made of the finest nickel-plated steel, wound around a hexagonal high carbon steel core. The result is a set of strings that retain their clarity, have a long life and provide excellent intonation. They even come in anti-corrosive earth-friendly packaging to keep them nice and fresh.

Best price for Daddario's around. Fast shipping and great customer care so far. It's my 5th large string order from Bax and I will definitely be coming back. As to the strings itself I thing they are just made for my stratocaster. Great bass string bounce and perfect manual balance of the rest. I wish set of 12 to be available too as I'm a bit heavy handed but I'm happy overall
