When Yamaha started developing the HPH-MT7 Studio Monitor headphones, one goal was absolutely clear: they wanted to produce a pair of headphones that accurately reproduce an audio source in minute detail, without adding any colouration. And they succeeded admirably; just like the popular NS-10M studio monitor speakers, these headphones deliver a flat, reliable reference tone. Their sound-isolating closed construction ensures that ambient noise is blocked out, and thanks to their soft ear pads, adjustable headband and swivelling earpieces they're comfortable to wear. They're perfect for audio engineers who want to mix wearing headphones! Yamaha supplies the HPH-MT7 headphones with a threaded stereo jack adapter plug and a lined carrying bag.
The MT7 headphones: audio reproduction
Yamaha's MT7 headphones are equipped with 40mm custom drivers with a CCAW voice coil and powerful neodymium magnets, so they deliver detailed, undistorted sound, even at high volumes. The drivers have a frequency range that extends from 15 HZ all the way to 25 kHz, so you'll be able to hear even the lowest bass tones. Thanks to the headphones' closed construction, you won't be distracted by noisy studio equipment or computers.
Comfort and design
During your studio sessions, chances are you'll be listening to the same music for hours on end. In such cases, uncomfortable headphones and speakers that are too loud can easily wear out your patience. Yamaha's MT7 headphones, however, were specifically developed for studio use. Not only do they reproduce audio just the way you need it, they're also pleasant to wear. Their adjustable, sweat-proof headband is made of durable plastic and fitted with a soft padded lining. The large ear pads are made of synthetic leather and enclose your ears, so they won't apply any unnecessary pressure. Prima geluid en draagcomfort. Van het (kunnen) horen van lage bassen had ik iets meer verwacht.

Nu de koptelefoon:
Gewoonweg top zoals je verwacht van Yamaha. Zit goed om het hoofd, niet te strak, niet te los. Rechte lange kabel, niet zo een kort ding. En het geluid is zeer goed in alle tonen, zelfs als je hem loeihard zet geen vervormingen. Klasse, past zeker in de rij van deze prijsklasse. Is zeker een aanrader.
