The result of blood, sweat and plenty of tears, the DoubleDecker MKII more-than-convincingly mimics that Marshall-style sound we first heard back in 1959. Designed by popular demand and upgraded in response to user-feedback, the second edition of the 1959 Doubledecker basically does everything that the MKI didn't. You asked and, when you hear the sound of this pedal, you can be 100% certain that the Italian pedal gurus listened. This tight yet extensive box now supplies two different clipping modes on each channel, packing it with more tonal variation than any puny mortal mind can even handle.

The Gurus DoubleDecker MK II: British-Flavoured Sound + The Jose Mod

Over on the right, Floor I gives you some soft, Germanium NOS drive and, over the left, Floor II gives you some rounder and more symmetrical LED diode-based output. The Hi-Voltage valve-preamp section in the middle even features an op-amp and access to the uber-popular Jose Arredondo mod that first saw light in the eighties - and that's per channel. With the real valve planted in the centre of it all, this dual-stompbox is able to span a wide array of vintage, British-flavoured guitar sounds. Trigger either channel independently or activate both at the same time to apply a monstrous boost. Despite the extensive range and ability of this magic box, Gurus has managed to keep the control panel clean and easy to work with while the housing remains compact and manageable.
