Having a hard time deciding between a distortion and an overdrive stompbox? Why not grab both in one go with the Jackson Audio Asabi Mateus Asato Signature?! This pedal is the original result of a successful collaboration between a master-builder and a master-guitarist. The distortion section gives you a full dose of that brutal, familiar sound you can only get from a high-gain British amp built in the '80s and, what's more, the 'plug-in' distortion circuit can be swapped out for a different Jackson Audio-made circuit so you can try different sounds without having to buy new pedals!

The Asabi Overdrive Distortion: Ultimate Control Over An Extensive Range of Distorted Sounds

The Asabi has been loaded with four different presets that can be toggled using the DIST footswitch: Green includes classic scream-style drive; Amber serves up British EL34-style distortion with less distortion and more headroom; Blue kicks in with asymmetrical high-gain tone, while Magenta offers the pointed sound of four symmetric silicone diodes. Select one of the distortion presets, hit the Drive footswitch to stack an overdrive-version on top, and tweak the tone into a satisfying end result using the 3-band EQ and tone pot. Also, by holding down both footswitches at the same time, you can easily increase the gain in 25% steps while for even more control, an external MIDI pedal can be plugged right in.
