Descrizione
Just like the successful OD9, the Maxon OD9 Pro+ takes after the legendary Maxon OD808 overdrive but offers more raw power, a wider dynamic range, and less compression. The fully refreshed OD9 Pro+ also delivers enhanced, balanced response across the board, with a little less emphasis on the mid-range and a higher output (+6dB) for literally twice the loudness.
The Maxon OD-9 Pro+: Boost Control
One of the fresh new features of the Maxon OD9 Pro+ is the boost control. Turn it up just a little, and this Nine Series pedal delivers a +3dB mid-range boost while lightly reigning in the bass and treble. Push it some more however, and the overdrive effect is boosted by +10dB for a fatter, more saturated sound, which is then slightly compressed to help your hot-to-the-touch leads burn through the mix.
Maxon
Maxon - originally a manufacturer of guitar pickups - is widely known for its high-quality, innovative stompboxes. While released during the 1970s with an Ibanez label slapped on them, the legendary TS-808 and TS9 Tube Screamers were in fact built by Maxon. These days, the company is specialised in vintage effects, including sought-after analogue delays and classic overdrives, and provides countless professional guitarists with premium bits of kit.
