Descrizione
Towards the end of the eighties, a British-built, silver-faced amplifier head that would become one of the legends of our age was unveiled. Here, VS Audio honour 25 years of an icon with the Platinum overdrive preamp pedal. This tight, stainless-steel stompbox is home to the same tasty, high-gain overdrive as its inspiration and, via a set of hand-selected JFET transistors, gives your guitar sound some vintage, Plexi-style treatment and variable saturation so you can dial in the full range of crunchy and clean sounds to back up your rhythms, your riffs and your licks. Besides overdrive, the Platinum serves as a preamp so, next to the input and output volume controls, a powerful three-band EQ control section is provided for dialling in and shaping the essentials. As a handy extra, VS Audio have also added a Presence switch that can be hit to boost the high frequencies or counter unwelcome feedback.
