Thanks to its colourful Kenyan patterns, the 14-inch Meinl PADJ2-XL-F Rope Tuned Travel Series djembe is a real eye-catcher. And with its 14-inch drumhead diameter and 26-inch-deep shell, it really is an XL djembe. It's still quite lightweight, however, as both the shell and the drumhead are made of synthetic material. Furthermore, the PADJ2-XL-F features HTP nylon rope tuning to keep the drumhead's tension consistent. This combination of materials allows for beautifully deep bass tones, as well as sharp slaps.

This instrument can be played anywhere, as its low weight allows you to take it with you wherever you go. Finally, the synthetic shell and drumhead are highly weather-resistant, and the bottom features a rubber ring to prevent it from sliding around or being scratched.
