The stylish 10" Toca TODJ-10AM Origin Series Djembe African mask makes no secret of its heritage. With its decorative carvings, this wooden djembe is a real eye-catcher. What's more, this beautiful instrument is manufactured in an eco-friendly fashion, as the mahogany that this djembe is carved form, is grown on a sustainable plantation. Quality-wise Toca gave it their all as well: each TODJ-10AM is lathed to ensure consistent shell thickness, and with it a consistent sound.
TODJ-10AM: custom insides
The inside of the TODJ-10AM was given a very specific design. Toca did everything they could to craft a djembe with deep and rich bass reproduction, and they sure succeeded! The inside of the shell features lathed grooves and a rough surface, resulting in rich bass with little to no unwanted overtones. Furthermore, the goatskin drumhead and traditional rope tuning system complete the picture. Finally, thanks to its durable yet lightweight design, the TODJ-10AM is great for kids and excellent for use in drum circles.
