The DTX400 Series is the foundation of Yamaha's range of electronic drum kits and includes a variety of entry-level kits developed especially for beginners. The DTX482K is the most advanced model in the series and includes a special XP80, triple-zone snare drum pad fitted with a Textured Cellular Silicon head. This surface is specially-developed and allows drum sticks to bounce off it in a natural way for a natural feel. Also included are three toms, cymbals, a hi-hat controller, bass drum pad with pedal and of course a drum module. Compared to other models in the series, this kit comes with an additional crash cymbal pad.

DTX400 Module

The way the pads are configured and set-up is important but you won't go far without a drum module to take the signal and convert it into sound. The module that can be found in the DTX482K includes 10 pre-programmed drum kits that can be customised and used for various styles of music. Developed specially for beginners, the module even comes with 10 built-in training functions to practice your timing, technique and pace. What's more, Yamaha offers specific Android and iOS apps that challenge you to expand your skills even further, as well as the convenient recording app, Rec'n'Share. For more experienced players, there's a USB connector to connect the module to a computer.
