While the Source Audio UltraWave Multiband Processor does sit on the edges of overdrive and tremolo territory, this is a tried-and-tested stompbox of far more advanced potential that grants multidimensional control via 'Multiband Processing' that carves the signal of any connected guitar, bass, or synthesizer up into multiple separate frequency bands. Each band is then treated via a set of independent parameters. In the case of the overdrive, since it's applied per frequency band, you get a lush and richly thick distortion that you simply couldn't get any other way. The same goes for the tremolo, where each band can be individually assigned different parameters to create a quality of tremolo that's never been heard before.
The Neuro Desktop Editor: Save & Share Presets with Ease
The accompanying Neuro Desktop Editor allows you to take full advantage of everything that the SA250 has to offer. This free editor can be used to assign different effect blocks to the pedal, and can even be downloaded onto your iOS device as an app, so you can create presets and share them with the Neuro Community via cloud-based libraries, and other UltraWave users are able to easily swap presets with each other. And using the app, the two-channel compressor block offers studio quality controls that can be placed before or after the drive circuits.

- 37 different band-split options: 2, 3, 4, 8 and 10 bands. Each band has different sub-sets with different band-split frequency points
- 44 different distortion types: choose from distortion/overdrive/fuzz types, including:
- Tube, Diode, Foldback, Negative Flip Diode, Octave Up and more
- two channel compressor/expander with the following studio parameters:
- Input Gain, Threshold, Ratio, Attack, Release
- Output Gain controls with a graphic monitor. Use the two-channel options to isolate different frequencies with compression. Place the compressor/expander before or after the overdrive module
- Multiband Tremolo: use different start-time options to create 'sequencer' or 'arpeggiator' effects. Use the Band Phase Offset control to set 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 or 10 beat patterns
- Stereo inputs and outputs: create two completely different presets and use them in parallel of series or send each to a separate output. Stereo options also apply to the Multiband Tremolo: use channel 1/2 sync options or the Phase Offset control to create stereo ping-pong effects
- Detailed LFO controls: use the LFO module to control the UltraWave Tremolo, Morphing, or Ring Modulator. Select a standard Since Wave or use an Attack/Release control to create custom LFO shapes
