To build the Orbit dBucket, Strymon took the classic flangers of old as the starting point. Inside this stompbox, the dBucket algorithm - the same impressive algorithm that runs the Strymon Brigadier - imitates every component of old-school analogue bucket-brigade circuits with hyper-accuracy, then adds on the deeper tweakability of a super-powerful processor.

The Strymon Orbit dBucket Flanger: From the Classic to the Futuristic

The versatile Orbit Flanger doesn't just mimic old flanger boxes but hands you ultra-detailed, in-depth control over every conceivable aspect of your flanger sound. This pedal takes things even further, by supplying an LFO mode mini-switch: select the 'Lin' setting and gain a sweep that speeds up in response to higher frequencies and slows down in response to lower frequencies, or flip the switch into 'Thru-0' mode to stretch the effect signal beyond the dry signal to create something properly bonkers.

A Solid & Complete Flanger

Via the standard-issue Speed, Width and Regen pots, your basic flanger sound can be dialled in with Strymon-style ease, but a more unique feature is the Mix pot (something most flangers don't bother with) which can pull back stronger flanging effects compared to the dry sound, but without losing any of the intensity. Via the Manual control pot, the delay-time of the flanger can also be dictated in detail, and thanks to the connection layout, this stompbox can be set up in mono or stereo and even provides room for an assignable expression pedal.
