TC Electronic June-60 Chorus
Descrizione
Re-live the 80s with TC Electronic's June-60 Chorus. It didn't take long after it's 1982 release for the original effects pedal to reach a legendary status due to its instantly-recognisable sound. Now, TC Electronic are re-introducing the iconic Chorus as a sharply-priced version, complete with authentic, retro styling. Its intuitive controls, two push buttons and a mono/stereo switch, and analogue Bucket Brigade Delay circuit make sure you can count on a strikingly powerful sound.

Dont use chorus much but need it now and again so this pedal was ideal plus I was born in June in the 60s its simple to use looks great well made you want some chorus you switch it on the 1 setting you want a diluted chorus you switch on the 2 setting you want a mix you switch them both on nothing fancy but for the money its great investment you want a fancy pants chorus pedal go buy a fancy pants chorus pedal me ! This will do nicely plus Tc Electronic what can I say love their pedals
Beautiful looking and extremely well made, but the sound of the effect is not quite what I hoped for.
I have at least two other chorus pedals already with regular control schemes, but it's not an effect I particularly use often because I find to difficult to the dial in well. So, the idea of this being preset to some kind of classic sound was very appealing.
As it stands, the first setting on this just is more or less acceptable, as I might expect to get straight out of any chorus pedal from without bothering to adjust the dials, while setting 2 is unpleasantly watery and metallic as I'd expect from setting dials at a suboptimal extreme. The 'third' setting of 1&2 together is pretty much just dominated by the unpleasant setting 2.
Setting 2 also seems to introduce something like clock noise into the signal - when you're not playing you can still hear it churning on the 'silence'. So there's that.
Apparently there are two internal trimpots in it that change the depth and speed a little, so it's possible this could be improved with some homework. That does kind of defeat the purpose of why I wanted it, though.
Still, it does look lovely and from a tactile perspective is pleasant enough to use. Unless finances get desperate I'll probably still keep it: for thirty odd quid you could argue it's worthwhile even as an ornament.
But, styling aside, I think I like my old Tokai better.
The service from Bax Music was faultless, incidently. I was particularly grateful for the choice of delivery companies enabling me to bypass the incompetent Yodel.
Geweldig apparaat . back to the 80s
Epic - this pedal will do great things for your set up. I'll be honest, I had my reservations about this before purchasing it but all I can say is you really do need this pedal.
The intended purpose was initially trying to assist the recreation of classic Juno type sounds on cheap synths but as soon as the pedal was powered up I was taken back by how wide the sound was.
I first tested the June-60 with a Korg Monologue, a synth that to me sounded quite flat and very uninspiring. Wow. This mono synth is now one of my favourites all thanks to the pedal - the sound just opens up and fills the stereo field adding more complexity and harmonic content which completely changes the sound.
I have experimented by using the pedal inline from synth to mixer channel and also found a good way to generate a very similar chorus sound to the Juno which is to use it on a auxiliary send/return from the mixer and dial in the desired amount. I have also used this on various synth and drum modules, and the key is to experiment with each of the chorus options, or as you'll find, even just having the pedal engaged with no chorus selected sounds amazing.
I bought the June-60 along with the TC-Electronic 3rd Dimension and chaining these together adds a lot of movement to the sound. Go buy this pedal along with a bunch of other pedals at these brilliant prices and find new sounds for your synths and guitars.
I'll pretty much use the June-60 on everything now. Please note remember to use a TRS stereo to two mono cable to hear the magic of this pedal.
Bax Music provided a great service and were much more competitively priced than other online retailers.
