If you're after a compact, personal PA system for tour solo performances,then the FreePlay LIVE by Mackie fits the bill! It has a high-capacity built-in battery, a 2-channel mixer and Bluetooth functionality. The FreePlay LIVE is lightweight and can also be connected to a mains socket if necessary. It produces a rich, powerful sound and offers flexibility on terms of connection options. The LIVE features a microphone, guitar, keyboard or line inputs and using the FreePlay Connect app, you can adjust the EQ levels of your sound via your mobile device! You can also link a second FreePlay speaker wirelessly for en even larger (stereo) sound.

The speakers' sound is great and the app to control them is intuitive to use. Sadly the linking of two units is mis-leading Mackie Sales quote 'You can also link a second FreePlay speaker wirelessly for an even larger (stereo) sound.'
I contacted BAX because I couldn't get it to behave as stereo whilst using the mic/line inputs. BAX tried to help and then said one of their technicians would call me back. They never did and so I battled on which is when I discovered that the linking feature only allows the streaming of bluetooth audio to be sent to the other speaker.Not any of the m,ic/line inputs. I real shame and I don't know why it doesn't work as it is a common feature used in domestic sound bars and Sub woofers in TV setups.
