A modern, high-precision reworking of a traditional guicharo, the Latin Percussion LP245 is a professional percussive instrument that, while modern, has retained its traditional playing feel. Played by drawing a scraper across the finely ribbed upper surface, the sound of the guicharo can be described as 'rasping', and is an essential feature of modern Latin music as well as jazz - as well as other genres in need of a unique percussive edge.
