Apogee Symphony Desktop audio interface
Descrizione
The Apogee Symphony Desktop audio interface comes with all the power of Apogee's golden-child, the Symphony I/O MkII, but in a more and compact desktop-friendly size. By using perhaps the most trusted and respected AD/DA conversion and microphone preamps in the industry, producers and musicians will not only elevate their recordings, but actually get excited by them. The enormous performance potential of the Apogee Symphony Desktop will even fit snugly in your rucksack and comes with fresh features that include microphone preamp simulations, an ECS Channel Strip plug-in, and an especially low latency allowed by the hardware DSP and the sheer quality of the Apogee FX plug-ins.
The Apogee Symphony Desktop: Alloy Preamps
The microphone preamplifiers form the solid base of the Symphony Desktop and offer 75dBs of gain. Apogee's entirely unique Advanced Stepped Gain Architecture is present to ensure minimal noise and distortion while, to match the impedance curve to the source (whether a microphone or instrument), can handle a deeper low-end and greater high-end. The selectable Alloy microphone preamp provides emulations of vintage preamps to add even more character and tasty harmonic distortion to recordings and give them the feel of the sound created by the fully analogue gear of the '60s and '70s. Meanwhile, emulations of both the British Solid Stage and 50's American Tube amplifiers are also made available.
The Symphony ECS Channel Strip Plug-In and DualPath Link-Technology
By getting yourself a Symphony Desktop, you're also getting a copy of the Symphony ECS Channel Strip plug-in as standard. This is a console-style plug-in that offers control over parameters like EQ, compression and saturation which are ideal for recording acoustic instruments and vocals. Another handy feature is the option to 'print' your work with the active plug-in, for latency-free tracking. The programme can also be used as a regular plug-in and combined with your preferred DAW and work hardware-free. The included DualPath Link option opens up an incredibly efficient workflow and, load the Apogee Channel FX plug-in to the track you're working on and link it to the corresponding input on the interface to control all parameters via your DAW while the DualPath Link technology makes sure that the audio signal runs through the plug-in using the hardware DSP in the Symphony Desktop itself, therefore, recording is pure and latency-free and playback immediately and seamlessly switches back to the plug-in running in your DAW.
