The ESI Amber i1 audio interface is a more than safe pick for every guitarist and singer-songwriter who's ready to set foot in the world of audio recording. Not equipped with any doodads you don't need anyway, this no-nonsense interface comes fitted with an XLR microphone input, a Hi-Z instrument input, a set of RCA line outputs, and a pair of balanced jack outputs for plugging in your studio monitors. Add that to the 24-bit/192 kHz audio quality and 114dB dynamic range, and you've got everything you need for high-quality recordings.

Built-In Loopback Channel and Included Software Pack

The Amber i1 can be hooked up to Windows systems as well as devices running on iOS or macOS 10.9 or higher. That said, please note that the interface can only be connected to an Apple iPad that's equipped with a Lightning port using the Apple Camera Connection Kit (not included). ESI have thoughtfully built in a loopback channel so you don't need to route the audio back to your computer via any cables and, as a nice bonus, they also include a 3-month subscription to JackTrip Virtual Studio, Bitwig's Studio 8-Track DAW, and Steinberg's WaveLab LE plus Cubasis LE for Apple iOS devices.
