This large-diaphragm condenser microphone features the same natural sounding capsule and extremely low noise-floor, but with the added twist and convenience of a fixed cardioid polar pattern. The high-pass filter and -10dB/-20dB pad have both been retained from the original model, completing an incredibly versatile studio microphone. Activate the pad and comfortably set up this microphone to serve as an ambient microphone for drum kits or even brass ensembles. Tweak the high-pass filter as needed to close-mike acoustic instruments, resulting in recordings wiped clean of overbearing lower frequencies.
