Sennheiser's 100-945 G3 is a professional wireless handheld set out of the Evolution Wireless series. The set consists of an SKM 100-945 G3 handheld microphone, an EM 100 G3 receiver and an MZQ microphone clip. Both the microphone and the receiver have a robust metal housing, making the system ideal for on-the-road use. They communicate with each other via frequency band B (626 - 668 MHz) and this is what makes the EW 100-945 G3 suited for use in the Netherlands. The SKM 100-945 G3 super-cardioid handheld microphone
The SKM 100-945 G3 handheld transmitter is equipped with a special vocal microphone capsule that can also be found in the wired Sennheiser E 945. This capsule has a super-cardioid pickup pattern, making it insensitive to feedback, ambient noise and handling noise. The latter is countered by an advanced internal shockmount system. The handheld has a detailed, full and natural sound that cuts through the mix which is great for the artist as well as the sound engineer.
The EM 100 G3 receiver
The EM 100 G3 receiver out of this Sennheiser EW 100-945 G3 handheld set can easily be set up. It automatically finds an interference-free frequency out of 1,680 different frequencies. The system provides you with a choice of twenty channels, twelve of which can be used simultaneously. If you prefer to control the frequencies yourself, you can set your own preferences in steps of 25 kHz via six user banks. This makes this the ideal wireless set for hobbyists as well as professional and experienced musicians.
