Denon Professional's DN-412X is an analogue mixer with a healthy dose of great features. Whether you use it for rental applications, on a small stage, in a pub or at a school, the DN-412X has plenty of connectors and functionality to amplify a group of speakers, actors or a moderate band, including input from a few media players and instruments. Its DNA microphone preamps ensure a detailed sound that's heavy on headroom, while internal compressors for channels 1 through 4, 100 effects and a 9-band equalizer for your main mix make life even easier for you.

DN-412X: eight channels

The DN-412X's XLR inputs can accommodate no fewer than seven microphones. Thanks to switchable +48V phantom power, these inputs are suitable for condenser microphones, or even mono devices at line level, such as a guitar via a DI box. It's also possible to use the first four channels as microphone channels, while the other three serve as stereo channels for a keyboard, a CD player or another stereo device. The eighth channel doubles as a stereo channel, and you can transfer even more audio input to the mixer by means of the RCA inputs (2 Track In) and the USB input.

Channel strips

Each of the DN-412X's channels allows you to adjust a number of settings. For the first four channels it's possible to suppress annoying peaks by means of a compressor. Below the compressor controls you'll find the equalizer controls, which enable you to adjust the timbre - trebles, mids and bass - to suit the acoustics of the room and to the main mix. The sound level of the channels that are transmitted to your monitor speakers can be adjusted by means of the aux knobs, so each speaker gets its very own mix. Sound is transmitted to your PA speakers via XLR outputs of 6.3mm jack outputs.
