The API Audio 560 10 Band Graphic EQ is a modern classic that helps you through those more difficult EQ tasks. Originally developed for the API studio mixing panels from the 60s and 70s, this lunchbox-format model is made for the modular API-500 system with which you can assemble a bespoke rack or mixing table. This capable EQ helps with trickier tasks and makes things quick and easy when forming and restoring settings. Compared to the original, this 560 has an improved resolution at +/- 4dB while retaining that same unique API sound.

The 560 is fitted with a 2520 Op Amp that offers a lot of headroom and maintains a consistent performance even when the EQ settings get extreme. The 2520 amp can process input signals with a low impedance resulting in an immediately noticeable improvement in the reproduction of low frequencies and a tighter sound image. This gives that legendary 'thump-in-your-gut' sound. The 560 is also known for its Proportional Q which, as you increase or decrease the frequency, narrows the bandwidth, so the higher the boost or cut, the narrower the Q. This allows you to make incredibly accurate adjustments. and minimizes the phase-shift sound that other equalizers will tend to produce.
