The Black Lion Audio Bluey 500 limiter/compressor is an ultra-accurate reproduction of the original 'Bluey' that was raised to legendary status by Chris Lord-Alge's heavy modifications. To make this unit more accessible to the masses, the Black Lion engineers enlisted the help of Chris himself, and while the 2U version is already out there, this is the more rack-friendly 500 module. So you're getting all of the same features of the original but it takes up just two 500 Series module slots. Here, the Bluey 500 doesn't only provide a set of custom Cinemag transformers but a faithful reproduction of the insert path, keeping things consistent while giving users the same console-style feel. The Wet/Dry mix pot is another solid perk, where the compression/limit amount can be manually set, and since each and every Bluey 500 has been calibrated and tested by hand in the USA, you're assured of 100% quality-controlled performance.
