Remo is an absolute top player in the world of drum hardware, such as these drumheads. The coated models of the Ambassador series distinguish themselves by their single ply of 10-mil (0.254mm) Mylar film. The drumheads produce an open and resonant sound with a warm attack. The Ambassador series sets a good standard for both live performances and recording applications.

Zeer goed vel. Mooi afgewerkt zoals altijd bij Remo. Klinkt heel goed. Ideaal voor popmuziek. Het vel heeft genoeg punch/attack en power maar heeft ook een redelijk lange sustain. Deze vellen klinken ten opzichte van de (gewone Ambassador) clear vellen wat 'warmer'.
Prima traditioneel tomvel dat best een tijdje meegaat. Omdat het een enkellaags vel is heeft het best wat overtonen. Voor moddervette sounds zou ik daarom eerder voor dikkere, dubbellaags vellen gaan. Voor jazz en andere muziekstijlen waar een beetje leven in mag zitten is dit een prima vel! Let er wel op dat als het vel eenmaal oud is, je het laag verliest en alleen de boventonen overhoudt. De versie met coating klinkt warmer maar heeft minder attack dan de clear versie.
