The product specialists at Sabian regularly deal with a very serious problem! Every year, they design too many new cymbals, which means they can't all be taken into production. Okay, maybe it’s not so serious. Regardless, they needed a solution. Therefore, Sabian decided to take a few strong contenders with them on a tour of the US and Europe, and ask people what they thought of these unique cymbals, in order to help them decide which of them deserve to be brought to the masses.

Top drummers

To widen the voting pool even further, Sabian created a global platform. That wasn't too hard: they simply presented the various cymbals on their website with videos of them being played by top drummers, so that the rest of the world could vote for their favourites. All in all, it was a pretty unique vote.

21-inch Bash Ride

Eventually, four cymbals came out on top and the Sabian Bash Ride was one of them. The name already suggests it: the Sabian Bash Ride is a mix between a crash and a ride cymbal. It is based on Sabian's own Raw Bell Dry Ride, making the Bash Ride perfect for use as a light ride cymbal or as a BIG crash. The bell is somewhat smaller than usual, to give you a bit more control. If you're looking for a powerful crash with plenty of volume, then the 21-inch Bash Ride is the way to go.
