Since elements of jazz can be found in pop and elements of pop can be found in rock and so on and on, most drummers are now seeking out the kind of easy-going and all-round cymbal that tackle anything. As such, and as part of their A-Series, Zildjian offer the Sweet Ride. This 21-inch cymbal is made of B20 bronze alloy and has a balanced medium-thin weight. The sustain is relatively long and the volume range is satisfyingly wide with outstanding stick definition. The Sweet Ride also delivers a great 'crash' as needed and, depending where you're playing across the blade, offers an array of distinctly different responses. The cup sounds bright, defined and lends itself brilliantly to complex rhythmic patterns, whether you're a beginner or an advanced drummer.
