Fishman and Polyphia-guitarist Scott LePage reveal the Fluence Custom Series Scott LePage signature pickup set: a pair of souped up humbuckers with gold-plated slugs based on Fishman's popular Open Core Classic Humbuckers. These good-looking pickups are the same as those fitted to Scott's KRYS10 signature electric guitar and, since they're multi-voice models, each offers up three different voicings. They can be powered using a 9V battery or the matching battery pack (not included) which offers up to 200 hours of performance before it needs a recharge.
The Scott LePage Custom Series Fluence Pickups: Multi-Voice
After a sit-down with Fishman and Ken Susi, Scott opted to base his custom humbuckers on a pair of Open Core Classic pickups since these most closely match his sound and playing style. In terms of voicings, the bridge humbucker has been designed to shape a hot-rod-style double-coil sound; an accurately calibrated, vintage PAF-style sound; and a slightly overwound single-coil sound. The neck pickup, meanwhile, lets you toggle through that same vintage PAF-style sound; an airy-and-clear sound full of mesmerising trebles, clearly present mids and tight lows; and a purely vintage single-coil sound. A wiring loom, a push/pull switch and a set of volume and tone pots come included.
