RAW Vintage RV-5760 Black Non-Aged humbucker (ponte)
Descrizione
Humbucker pickups that were available towards the end of the 1950s have now earned a legendary status but unfortunately, they were only made that way for a short period of time. That not only makes them rare, but expensive to buy if you're lucky enough to find a second-hand one. Fortunately, the RV-5760 Open Black Aged humbucker (bridge) pickup does an excellent job of recreating the sound of these vintage guitar pickups from that period. RAW Vintage used their considerable experience in rewinding original vintage pickups to create their own series that deliver that recognisable, old-fashioned sound that can normally only be found in expensive vintage guitars.
RAW Vintage RV-5760
RAW Vintage paid particular attention to the winding process to ensure they created a humbucker with an authentic sound. The Alnico 2 magnets in the RV-5760 deliver a dynamic and open sound that is instantly recognisable. The look is authentic too so if you have a vintage guitar or one with an aged look, this pickup will complement it perfectly.
RAW Vintage
RAW Vintage specialise in making vintage-style replacement parts for electric guitars. Their extensive range of products includes pickups, steel bridge saddles and tremolo springs. Their pickups are generally based on models from the '50s and '60s and come in a variety of colours and finishes. They're perfect if you're looking for a pickup that doesn't just sound authentic, but looks the part too.

At this moment I am afraid that I am starting to sound like I am working for Xotic or RAW Vintage or EBS or what ever other Company is under their roof. I am not.
Currently I own 14 different pickups from RAW Vintage. Talking about them in superlatives might make me sound like a Fanboy. But if so then only while I think they deserve it.
Now are they for everyone? Certainly not. For someone looking for type of sound they promise they just might be one of the best solutions you can find.
If you look for some version of vintage humbucker PAF style your search might stop with some of the versions of the RAW Vintage RV-5760 series.
Overall rules in the RV5760 series:
Open version is sounding different then closed version. It for the lack of a better word it sounds more open.
All versions are Alnico II and scatter wound as well as non potted.
As in the good old times two pickups of the same model will not measure same values.
Bridge variants is where you have most of the differences.
Neck models have only one spacing and measure around 7,5K.
LP Bridge versions measure around 8K.
F spaced versions measure around 8.4K
F Spaced bridge models fit perfect in most of the PRS guitars while LP model will miss a middle of outside pole peaces fro a millimeter or two. It will work and might sound good specially if you want to stay with lover resistance value. Only F spaced fits almost perfect but brings more resistance and bit different sound.
Back to this model
This is a LP Spaced open non aged version. Pole peaces are spaced narrower than in F versions.
This LP Version is not as hot as F spaced models but have bit more top end. Sounds very clear.
Version with cover sound more vintage and have more LP specific color in the mid range. Adds to complexity of a tone but is not as clear sounding as open version.
This is cleanest sounding bridge version of them all. It is free of any thin metallic middle range sound in it that troubles some modern PAF clones.
If you want real PAF clone you will need to go to a version with a cover and I would recommend aged version.
But if you want a sound that opens up a vintage sound to more clear version this is it. In 60's and 70's some players where opening their original PAF's in their LP's to achieve this tone. This Pick up brings it in from the box.
Overdriven character changes as well. If this is what you are looking for you will be pleasantly surprised.
If your LP sounds muddy this pickup can help out. Specially if your LP came with high output pickup.
