RAW Vintage RV-5760 Non-Aged Nickel Cover humbucker Fender (ponte)
Descrizione
While the humbuckers that were produced towards the end of the fifties have since earned themselves a legendary status, they had a very short and very limited run, and as such, only a few have survived. Fiercely sought after and insanely expensive, these antique humbuckers are rare finds. Of course, guitarists are spoilt for choice when it comes to humbuckers these days, but that genuine fifties and sixties flavour is always hard to find. Specifically designed to replace the standard bridge humbucker of a Fender guitar and voiced to mimic the sound of the originals, the RAW Vintage RV-5760 Non-Aged Nickel Covered pickup has been closely modelled on the vintage pickups of the past. As a result, this humbucker gives you and your guitar full access to the unmistakable old-school sound that started it all.
The RAW Vintage RV-5760 Humbucker
The secret to the sound of the RAW Vintage RV-5760 lies in the winding process. Because producing humbuckers way back when often involved complicated winding patterns to ensure a truly unique sound, these have been analysed and copied in detail before being teamed up with Alnico II magnets for that trusted open and dynamic response. The RAW Vintage RV-5760 Non-Aged bridge humbucker has been furnished with a natural nickel cover, so it'll suit the finish of any newer Fender models that have already been routed and prepped for humbuckers, such as an HSS configured Strat or HS or HH configured Telecaster.
RAW Vintage

Prachtig klinkende pickup.

By now I own all of the versions of the Raw Vintage pickups. Happy with all of them.
Now their humbuckers, specially once with cover, are known to be vintage sounding PAF replicas.
This is acquired taste and asks for good environment to bring good results.
On Fender type guitars people often go with hotter modern pickups. While actually PAF sounding pickups sound epic in bridge position on the strat and neck position on the tele.
But there is another type of the guitars where this F spaced (53mm) humbucker fits great regarding to string spacing, look and feel and sound as well. PRS SE guitars. Lot of them come with OK pickups but if you hot rod them with G spaced neck and F space bridge you will be welcomed with new dimension. While changing pickups replace electronics to with something made in USA. Do not forget input jack and toggle switch.
Once with Raw Vintage pickups this guitar sound and feel like way more expensive instruments.
Value point is up to you of course.
Great sounding vintage output PAF replica.
Please note that DC resistance varies a bit and can be anywhere from 7,9k to 8,1k. That is again era correct feature :) Guess scatter wounding process was never really perfectly accurate but does sound great.
Please note that if you are using this pickups on the stage with a wall of amps this pickups are normally not potted. That is one of the reason why they sound like early PAF models. They sound brighter and more natural but could catch some pickup squeal when sound levels are at ear drum popping levels.
Considering that most of the people that do big arenas use silent cabs under the stage and in ear monitoring this is not that of the issue.
People using real amps for the amplification should not be have issue. If you play for your self this has no weight anyways.
On the other side for me non potted humbuckers sound so much better. Low output once.
