This is no warm, jazz-flavoured pickup — no, this double-coil unit is built exclusively for harder, more raw work. Boasting an uber-high-output, the SH-6B is capable of backing up everything from old-school metal to contemporary grindcore, and thanks to the four-conductor wiring, it can even be coupled with a coil-split switch to unleash sparkling, single-coil-style tone.

The SH-6b Distortion Bridge: Tight-and-Mean Lows and Bright-and-Fierce Highs

The big ceramic magnet combines with an overwound coil for a greatly increased output that doesn't come at the cost of sonic clarity. In fact, the core sound is framed by a seriously tight low-range and bright-and-fierce trebles, making it cut out for standard tuning as well as lower tunings. Mount this bad boy at the bridge and you're assured of chugging riffs and leads backed up by prominent harmonics.
