Descrizione
The rise of digital music production in the '80s and '90s, sent tapes well on their way to becoming as extinct as the dodo. Yet today, a couple of decades later, u-he serve up Satin, a tape-simulating plugin. Why? The answer is actually pretty simple. Digital audio signals are in a way set in stone and are rather predictable while tapes, on the other hand, are the complete opposite. There's tape-hiss, saturation, the playback speed...all of sorts of things that can be subtly used to add a little character to a track. That, plus extensive parameter tweaking, is exactly what u-he Satin offers. In addition, eight instances can be managed in a single instance, which is great news when you've got multiple buses that all want in on the tape!
