The practical, compact Palmer Pocket Amp Acoustic preamp is designed for various types of acoustic instruments. Using the mode switch, you can adjust the settings for models with a magnetic pickup, basses or string instruments with a piezo, or models with a pickup much like that of an acoustic guitar. This stomp box also includes a 3-band equalizer that enables you to set the mid-boost or cut frequency from 150 Hz to 8 kHz.

Using the style control, you can choose between three basic sounds. The first generates a neutral, balanced response, the second has a slightly sharper, modern-day sound and the third is a warmer, more vintage variety. With the blend potentiometer, you can mix the selected sound with the pure sound of your string instrument. This Palmer effects pedal also features a notch filter with five positions so you can quickly locate and filter out unwanted frequencies. Set the built-in DI to pre or post to determine whether you want to send a clean or an effects signal to the FOH.
